چکیده
I. Prefatory Notes 1. Fields and slopes. A function of two variables is called a “field” by the physicists, maybe because it might be describing a topography in which the height of the surface above, say sea level, is a function of two coordinates, say the longitude and latitude. To be precise, physics would call this a scalar field (because the height is a single number at each point) in two dimensions (because of the two coordinates). We will soon encounter more ambitious types of field. An example is f(x, y) = xy Here is what the surface xy looks like, plus a few of its values.

The geometry of curved Clifford space (C-space) is investigated. It is shown that the curvature in C-space contains higher orders of the curvature in the underlying ordinary space. A C-space is parametrized not only by 1-vector coordinates x µ but also by the 2-vector coordinates σ since they describe the holographic projections of 1-lines, 2-loops, 3-loops, etc., onto the coordinate planes. متن کاملSIZE AND GEOMETRY OPTIMIZATION OF TRUSS STRUCTURES USING THE COMBINATION OF DNA COMPUTING ALGORITHM AND GENERALIZED CONVEX APPROXIMATION METHOD
In recent years, the optimization of truss structures has been considered due to their several applications and their simple structure and rapid analysis. DNA computing algorithm is a non-gradient-based method derived from numerical modeling of DNA-based computing performance by new computers with DNA memory known as molecular computers. DNA computing algorithm works based on collective intelli...
متن کاملVeblen on Projective Relativity 191 Veblen on Projective Relativity
This book by Professor Veblen is a result of a series of lectures given at the University of Göttingen during the summer of 1932. I t deals with that new aspect of the theory of relativity which is often called projective relativity on account of its relation to projective geometry. I t allows a unified theory of the gravitational and the electromagnetic field, and, though it is not referred to...
متن کاملSpatial Analysis in curved spaces with Non-Euclidean Geometry
The ultimate goal of spatial information, both as part of technology and as science, is to answer questions and issues related to space, place, and location. Therefore, geometry is widely used for description, storage, and analysis. Undoubtedly, one of the most essential features of spatial information is geometric features, and one of the most obvious types of analysis is the geometric type an...
